1. I was born in Manhattan. Two months early. I was a Shake 'n Bake baby. I had my own li'l hothouse.
2. I pee'd on the priest when I was baptized. Even then I didn't like organized religion.
3. I have a sister I haven't spoken to since 1989.
4. My fifth grade teacher tried to get one of my stories published.
5. I always wanted to be a writer. Then I got into publishing. Feh!
6. I played field hockey in Junior High and was quite good.
7. I'm nearsighted in one eye, farsighted in the other.
8. I've lived in the same place for 13 years.
9. George Harrison was always my favorite Beatle.
10. My dad had a laryngectomy due to cancer when I was a child. I was the only one who could understand him when he talked with no problem.
11. When he died 16 years later, I swore I'd never date anyone who smoked, drank, or ate meat.
12. I broke that rule in 2002. And have been happy ever since!
13. I wish my mom spoke Russian in the house. I can speak a little. What little I can speak made my dad laugh.
14. I grew up in New York. Lawn Giland specifically. I'd never move back there. EVER. I love New Jersey!

24. I've met Maya Angelou and Anne Rice and completely froze both times.
25. I could have met Paul Westerberg in 1987, but he looked drained and tired and I didn't want to bother him.
26. Got the chance in 2002. Got my best friend's copy of 14 Stories autographed and my boyfriend's band's CD cover autographed. As usual, I said something really dumb to the aforementioned rock star.
27. My most prized possessions are: an autographed copy of Pleased to Meet Me, an autographed copy of Hounds of Love, my cats, my family photos.
28. I have run 2 half marathons, but never one full one.
29. I've had to wear glasses since I was in kindergarten.
30. I have no idea what my blood type is.
31. I cry everytime I watch The Iron Giant, Contact, and Wuthering Heights.
32. I won a small (miniscule) scholarship for college. I still had a student loan bill for over $11,500. I paid it back 2 years early.
33. My boyfriend is morally offended by how I treat paper currency (I crumple it in my pockets and my change purse).
34. I took drum lessons for a while and all I learned was that I suck at drums.
35. I can drive manual transmission. I learned because the only car i could afford in college was manual.
36. I went to Fordham University. I met great friends and had fun, but if I knew then what I know now, I would have gone to a public school.
